Subscription

The term subscription is c. 1400, "piece of writing at the end of a document," from Middle French subscription (Modern French souscription) and directly from Latin subscriptionem (nominative subscriptio) "anything written underneath, a signature," noun of action from past participle stem of subscribere.

Subscriptions are based on the idea of selling a product or service to receive monthly or yearly recurring subscription revenue. Building a subscription business is a recipe for long term success. The nine principles of building a subscription model are; price, acquire, bill, collect, nurture, account, measure, iterate, and scale. Create good content so customers will buy a subscription.
