Innovation

The etymology of innovation is mid-15c., "restoration, renewal," from Late Latin innovationem (nominative innovatio), noun of action from past participle stem of innovare "to change; to renew." We are continually renewing our culture. Innovations in the supply chain have been ongoing since the beginning of global trade. The world has innovated from a barter system to a global supply chain driven by the interoperability of goods, funds, and information. Blockchain technology is innovating towards a new paradigm of global commerce/supply chain. Innovation is only as good as execution.

Changing the culture is difficult and with many opinions. I could ask one hundred experts in finance, operations, marketing, and IT about the future of blockchain and not receive a consistent answer. Who is blockchain for and what is blockchain for? The answer can be as simple as, "Blockchain is for anyone who wants all transactions to be trusted and secure." Your answer may not be as simple.
