Ethos

The term ethos means the 'genius' of a people, characteristic spirit of a time and place, 1851 (Palgrave) from Greek ēthos "habitual character and disposition; moral character; habit, custom; an accustomed place," in plural, "manners."

Ethos appeals to intelligence, virtue, morals, and perception of trustworthiness. Build on your ethos by writing with clarity. Write without errors in the writing and in the subject matter. Choose appropriate language for the audience and topic making your message sound unbiased. Introduce your expertise, accomplishments or pedigree, and use correct grammar and syntax.
