Surplus

The term surplus is from the late 14c., from Old French sorplus "remainder, extra" (12c., Modern French surplus), from Medieval Latin superplus "excess, surplus," from Latin super "over" (see super-) + plus "more." Surpluses are hard to find these days. Not much extra of anything. Planning is important. Thinking analytically will save the day. A surplus is good to have of items critical to life. Unfortunately, we have a surplus of items people do not need. Satisfy needs over wants and the world is better.
