Scenario

Scenario is from 1868, "sketch of the plot of a play," from Italian scenario, from Late Latin scenarius "of stage scenes," from Latin scena "scene." A scenario is a form of storytelling in which some potential future situation or state is described using words and pictures. Scenarios can help management visualize how a product may become the basis of new services and business models. Another advantage of scenarios is the ability to keep people at the center of the idea and thus prevent us from getting lost in mechanical or aesthetic details. The psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi calls our ideas/products “transactions between people and things.” Let's keep our scenarios between people and things.
