Prosperity

The term prosperity is from the mid-14c., prosperen, "be successful, thrive, advance in any good thing," from Old French prosperer (14c.) and directly from Latin prosperare "cause to succeed, render happy," from prosperus "favorable, fortunate, prosperous" (source also of Spanish and Italian prospero).

What is the definition of success? Everyone has a different definition. Success takes great planning, effort, and execution. Success does not show up without smart and hard work. Ships are safe in port. Ships are not made to sail. Humans strive for many goals. Advance in a good thing is a good thing. Prosperity is a favorable goal.
