Listen

The term listen is from the Old English hlysnan (Northumbrian lysna) "to listen, hear; attend to, obey" (transitive), from Proto-Germanic *hlusinon (source also of Dutch luisteren, Old High German hlosen "to listen," German lauschen "to listen."

Listening is one part of the communication equation. Listening is the beginning of debate and action. No need to obey everything you heard while listening. Hear first and actively listen. Listening is not easy. Listening should be easy.
