Goals

The term goals is from the 1530s, "end point of a race," of uncertain origin. It appears once before this (as gol), in a poem from early 14c. and with an apparent sense of "boundary, limit." Perhaps from Old English *gal "obstacle, barrier."

Set achievable goals. Set goals to move your life and business forward. Goals should be specific, measurable, realistic, and time-bound. Take a goal as a motivation to create change. Impact people. Solve a problem with an elegant solution and a sound action plan. Achievable goals move the needle.
