The term design is from late 14c., "to make, shape," ultimately from Latin designare "mark out, point out; devise; choose, designate, appoint," from de "out" + signare "to mark," from signum "identifying mark, sign."
Design thinking has its origins in the training and practice of designers. Design principles can be practiced by everyone and extended to every field of activity. Good design has a sense of purpose without predicting every outcome in advance. Creativity drives good design. Life is a prototype. We conduct experiments, make discoveries, and change our perspectives. We look for opportunities to turn processes into projects with tangible outcomes. Design life. Design products. Design processes.
