Dashboard

Dashboard, also dash-board, originated in 1846, "board or leather apron in front of a carriage to stop mud from being splashed ('dashed') into the vehicle by the horse's hoofs," from dash (v.) + board (n.1).

How can a company keep "mud" from being "dashed" on its business? There are three types of dashboards; operational, strategic, and analytical. Operational dashboards tell us what is happening now. Strategic dashboards track of key performance indicators (KPIs). Analytical dashboards process data to identify trends. Business executives want to know revenue growth, velocity, margins, and ROA. What happens when you bring AI and blockchain to a dashboard? An effective dashboard will prevent less "mud" from "dashing" your business.
