The term amendment is from the early 13c., "betterment, improvement;" c. 1300, of persons, "correction, reformation," from Old French amendement "rectification, correction; advancement, improvement," from amender.
All businesses and people need amendents to adjust for changes. There are controllable and uncontrollable changes. When we see a change we can't control it may become necessary to write an amendent. It is difficult to think about solving all possible problems in business. We write amendents to improve our business.
